The Sultantate of Oman

The Challenge:

The Sultantate of Oman wished to become involved in the growing and production of fresh vegetables such as lettuce, broccoli and cauliflower.

The Solution:

Through an existing relationship I had with the Dole Corporation, I was put in contact with the agricultural manager of the Sultanate of Oman who wished to duplicate Dole’s vegetable growing operation, specifically lettuce, broccoli and cauliflower in Oman.

I put together a venture utilizing a fabricator, an engineering staff and my company that managed the operation and provided liaison with the customer. A multi-million dollar contract resulted where harvesting equipment, refrigerated storage units and packaging material were provided and shipped to Oman.
