The Challenge:

The glass cook top stove was a big advancement in cooking technology, because it provides a smooth surface that is easier to clean and more efficient. However, it required electric burners below the surface of the glass ceramic, which were heavy, costly and energy-wasting.

The Solution:

Thin film heaters developed and patented by my company, Thermo-Stone USA, were applied directly to the glass ceramic resulting in increased efficiency, weight and cost savings. We negotiated a multi-year development contract and a license agreement with royalties.
